Carbon Management

Marwi is committed to reducing product carbon footprint through smarter materials and more efficient manufacturing. By adopting recycled aluminum and GRS-certified plastics, we significantly lower emissions at the source, while our Energy Management System (EMS) optimizes power usage across production. Together, these efforts deliver high-performance components with a substantially reduced environmental impact.

Product Carbon Reduction Strategy
  • Aluminum Ingots: We utilize PIR (Post-Industrial Recycled) aluminum, reducing the carbon emission factor from 9.85 kgCO₂e to 0.7 kgCO₂e per kilogram (a 92.9% reduction).
  • PP Plastics: We use GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled materials, reducing the carbon emission factor from 2.01 kgCO₂e to 0.524 kgCO₂e per kilogram (a 73.9% reduction).
  • Energy Efficiency: Through our Energy Management System (EMS), we improve on-site power efficiency and reduce carbon emissions during the manufacturing process.
ISO 14067 Product Carbon Footprint Certification

Marwi Taiwan has completed the ISO 14067 carbon footprint calculation for its bicycle pedals and successfully received verification from TÜV SÜD in December 2023.
